The Robots Come Out At Knight

The Robots Come Out At Knight from Made With Awesome

I am really taken with this tee purely due to the story it tells. The solitary knight prepared to fight an army of giant robots who are destroying his home is just such a unique concept. The flames have cast an eeire orange glow over the whole scene as our hero makes his last stand.

Eye of the Tiger

Eye of the Tiger from Hidden Moves

At first glance I thought this was another skull in a helmet type tshirt. Luckily, and possibly because of my tiger fetish , I noticed it was something else. Apart from being a great piece of art in its own right, I believe that it shows the tiger as the warrior that we all know them to be.

Zombie Frenzy

Zombie Frenzy by Mr. Nicolo

The print on this tee is freakin HUGE. Not only does it look stunning it also allows everyone to really check out the incredibly detailed artwork. This is completely in your face and is without a doubt the best zombie tee I have ever seen.

Ninja Turtles

Ninja Turtles from Tee Turtle

You have to wonder why the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wear colored masks. Hiding your identity is not really a concern when you are a freakin giant turtle. It would seem Michelangelo didn't get told about the costume decision. Although he probably wasn't listening. Tubular dude.

Sci-Fi

Sci-Fi from Imaginary Foundation

Isaac Asimov, the most prolific science and science fiction writer has been imortalised in many ways over time, yet this is the first time I have ever come across it being done via the medium of a tshirt. The artwork is truly wonderous, bringing to mind many of the covers of his books and various publications that he wrote for. It is fantastical, colorful and I am not sure how it was done. It could be a painting (digital or traditional) or a photo manipulation. What it does do is push the boundries on what can be done on a tee, which I am sure is something Isaac would have loved very much.

Siren

Siren by Tim Shumate

Sometimes people tell you things that just sound so wrong you just have to see them for yourself. In this case a friend of mine told me of a tee that depicted Ariel, the Little Mermaid as a sexy siren in a tattoo style. Even after his assurances that it looked stunning I thought it would be stupid. After seeing it for myself I am glad to admit that I was wrong. It is as brilliant as his drunken boasts stated.

Inframundo

Inframundo from Twin Srpnt

The story of Hades the God of the underworld is so old that I find it quite exciting to see something new done with the artwork depicting it. In this case Hades is actually depicted as the underworld itself. The hair on top of his head morphs into an unforgiving landscape of twisted trees, mountains, a volcano and a huge tidal wave. The splits in the face show other levels with the skeletons of the dead, each one in a different pose. It is an amazingly crazy and detailed piece of artwork, the sort of thing you would usually find on a poster.

Team Sea Monkeys

Team Sea Monkeys by stevethomas

There are a lot of fake sporting team logo style shirts out there and generally they just don't excite me. The general silliness of this one made me laugh and want to share it. I am not sure what type of sport sea monkeys would play but I am certain it would be some form of water sport.

The Wormhole

The Wormhole from Made With Awesome

I was originally drawn to this tee by the psychedelic circles which make a very cool 3D effect. I find it amazing that such simple shapes can create such a feeling of movement. It draws your eyes in to the center where there is a surprise waiting in the form of a little worm. It is a really clever and surprising pun on the word wormhole that takes a little cerebral action to figure out, which I just love.

Jogging

Jogging from Enclothe

There is something I really don't like about this tee and that is the name of it. It just does not make sense when compared the artwork. You have to go to the site and read the story about it for a glimmering of understanding. That said it is a very cool shirt. It reminds me of those old sexploitation flicks and more recently Sucker Punch and Planet Terror. The artwork is not only very unique, it has a great sense of depth and movement.

Flapper

Flapper from Halfcut

It seems strange that this vintage inspired design is a breath of fresh air, yet it is the first one I have seen in quite some time that isn't steampunk themed.  I love it for that. I also love the flapper girl style being done as an old school pin up. The colors used compliment the artwork perfectly. It looks great and I can really see myself wearing this.

Revenge of the Californian Swamp Creature

Revenge of the Californian Swamp Creature by Steven Rhodes

Even though this tee is meant as a joke it took me right back to my childhood in the eighties. After the success of movies like Teenwolf and The Lost Boys, creature movies were all the rage, accompanied by a thumping, dodgy rock soundtrack. All of a sudden B grade creature movies were being played everywhere and they just seemed to get sillier. This is just a perfect homage to that period, even down to the bright purple shirt color.

Beetle Playing Violin

Beetle Playing Violin from Dark Cycle

There is something oddly appealing about this tee aside from the obvious silliness and surreal aspect, I just can't put my finger on what it is.

From the website:
The Rhinoceros Beetle tends to have a short lifespan of around 1.5 years. This one is making every single day count and spends his days fiddling in a woodland band.

Not Just For Xmas

Not Just For Xmas from I Came From Nothing

You can't change evil. The Grinch didn't suddenly come over with a bad case of sweetness and light, he got a dose of cunning and tricked the Whos. After luring them to his hovel he carved them up with a chainsaw. BWAHAHAHAHA.

Zombie Kingdom

Zombie Kingdom from Cherry Sauce

Mario World has been infected by a heinous virus that has turned all the inhabitants into zombies. Run for your life and hide in a giant green pipe if you want to survive.

Maya

Maya from Sylosis

Yeah I know that I have said that I don't generally do band tees. I am not trying to push my musical tastes on you, it is just that the artwork here is so damn good I had to feature it. The story behind this is that after a trip to India, Sylosis decided they wanted a tee featuring the Hindu serpent goddess. They then made an awesome decision to commission Chris aka Pale Horse to do the artwork.

Wonderless

Wonderless by SheViper

Even though it is a natural born killer, the lion is often thought of as majestic. That look is portrayed perfectly here with the king of the jungle looking off to the side. What really sets this apart from all the other lion tees is the huge print. It is massive. Extending from the shoulder right down to the bottom, it makes maximum use of the space available. With a simple color palette this is just a stunning looking shirt.

Spade II

Spade II from Skummie

The skull is a tshirt staple and there are so many out there that it takes something special to really stand out and make me take notice. What really struck me about this is the shape of the design. I don't believe that I have ever seen a coffin shaped skull before. In fact I have been wondering why I have not seen this idea before as it just makes so much sense. Both things symbolize death so it is not a great leap to picture the two together. All I know is that I am so glad this is the first because the artwork is stunningly good.

Crouching Panther

Crouching Panther from DEATH, SHRED!

It is so cool to see this style of illustration used for something other than human based characters for a change. The panther looks totally ferocious and has a great sense of movement across the tee. The red circle behind it is an inspired choice. It gives a nice frame for the panther to step out of, shows a bit of landscape and subliminally makes you think of darkness as it is moon shaped.

Serpentine

Serpentine from Glorious Nightmare

This is a special release tee to celebrate Glorious Nightmare's 1st Anniversary and they are flying off the shelves. Not surprising when the artwork is this good. I really love the almost Japanese style wolf she is petting. It is something really different, as the the scale like texture on the woman's skin. Little touches like that make this a stand out amid a sea of similar themed shirts.

Demolition Derby

Demolition Derby by Sebastian Arango Guerrero

I just had a complete geek out. This tee is awesome. All the cool cars from television and movies in the eighties battling it out in a demolition derby. Check them all out. Kit from Knight Rider, the Delorean from Back to the Future, the A Team's van, the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard, Herbie the Lovebug, the Ghostbusters wagon and the Batmobile. The only one I don't know is the pick up at the back. I am not sure if that is because I grew up in Australia and we didn't get the show or if I have forgotten it after killing so many braincells with alcohol.

Perched Owl

Perched Owl from Steadfast Brand

Collabarations are something becoming more commonplace in the tshirt world. In this case Steadfast Brand has teamed up with Chris Parks, aka Palehorse Designs. He has created this amazing owl artwork for them. It takes a tattoo standard and puts a whole new spin on it. On other tees they have collabarated with the likes of tattoo artists Jime Litwalk, Dave Kruseman and Joe Capobianco, to name a few. Be sure to check them out.

Jellybot

Jellybot from Teefury

It has been a while since I have done a denial so I went waaaaay back to 2008 in Teefury's archives and found this. The Jellybot. It is crazy, awesome, unique and you can't have it.

Horsemen

Horsemen from Disturbia

This is awesome artwork, there is just no other way to say it. In fact I am not going to say anything else, just quote a song and show a bigger pic.

The Horsemen are drawing nearer
On the leather steeds they ride
They have come to take your life
On through the dead of night
With the four Horsemen ride
Or choose your fate and die

Time
Has taken it's toll on you
The lines that crack your face
Famine
Your body it has torn through
Withered in every place
Pestilence
For what you have had to endure
And what you have put others through
Death
Deliverance for you for sure
There is nothing you can do

Metallica - The Four Horsemen

Brainsucker

Brainsucker from Bad News Boards

I am not quite sure what the monster on this tee actually is. It looks a bit like Cthulhu with the Stonemasons pyramid giving it a cyclops eye. It does have a great sense of fun to it that I really love which is backed up by the crazy colors. In fact it is actually available in two color schemes, either red and blue or purple and yellow. Personally I prefer the red and blue just because the blood is the right color.

Welcome To Mad City

Welcome To Mad City by kharmazero

I love the sheer craziness of this tee. The city is a jumbled mess that looks like it was pieced together from whatever was lying around. It has a real post apocalyptic, beyond thunderdome look about it. The tracks that run all over the place remind me of mining car roller coaster scenes from movies like Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom.

Killer Clown

Killer Clown from Machete Premium Cuts

Clowns are freaky. Can you really trust guys that hide behind slathered on makeup, tickle children, spray fluids in your face and play with phallic shaped balloons ? There is something intrinsically wrong with them. Even Stephen King knows that.
