Wolf Headdress from Rook
Animal heads wearing a Native American style headdress are nothing new in the tshirt world but this one stands out for a couple of reasons. Firstly is the quality of the artwork. The pencil style illustration work on the face and feathers is superb. Secondly that green eye really pops against the monochromatic face. What I really like about it though is the intensity and fierceness of that snarl.

Seventh Ink Fifth Anniversary
Fifth Anniversary Tshirt from Seventh Ink
Seventh Ink are celebrating their fifth year and have released this limited edition tee for the occasion. I really like how this takes the animal headdress to another level. The bear has the shamans head in its mouth and although it looks ferocious and should be scary, it isn't. I attribute that to the determined expression on the shamans face. Without the fear the bear seems to be caressing, and the angry look is to warn off others.

Chief Eagle
Chief Eagle from Rook
There are a lot of tshirts that feature a native American headdress as part of the design, usually with an animal as the subject. This tee stands out by actually using the man, but the inclusion of a pair of sunglasses gives it a whole new twist. The bright blue lenses become the focal point, really standing out amidst the monochrome. It is as if the traditional is colorless while the modern is too bright, making me ponder if the middle ground is ideal.

Indian
Limited Edition Indian T-Shirt from Antique
I really love this limited edition tee from Antique. It jumped off the screen and really stood out amongst the other offerings. The artwork is so good that you don't realise that only black and white inks have been used. It makes amazing use of the red of the shirt to add splashes of color to the monochromatic artwork. The angle of the head and expression on the face could convey a range of emotions, leaving it up to the viewer to interpret.
