Year of the Dragon

Year of the Dragon from Slow Down

After yesterdays Samurai tee I thought it would be nice to continue the theme with this dragon. What I find striking about this is the colors. While there are a lot used they complement each other perfectly. The end result is colorful but not visually jarring or overpowering.

Pandas Make Rainbows Bleed

Pandas Make Rainbows Bleed by colinlepper

I am really loving this tee as it seems to explain why pandas are black and white. I like to think that the dragon was bringing color to all the animals but the pandas rebelled. Turning vicious they attacked the dragon, splattering his colorful blood everywhere. Perhaps this is why the dragons are now extinct.

Ship Destroyer

Ship Destroyer from Rise To Glory

This is the perfect sort of tee for those looking for an alternative to the common skull tshirt. A giant sea worm / monster thing destroying ships is just so horror, rock n roll looking that it could easily be a band poster. The artwork is just incredible and detailed that I want to get closer for a better look.

Dragon Slayer

Dragon Slayer from Dream On Dreamer

Yeah I know I have said before that I don't generally do band tees, but like the Miss May I "Slime Burger" recently, this is just too good not to show. The artwork is just fantastic, with an incredible amount of detail in the illustration work. It manages to take a heavy metal cliche to a whole new level.

Earth Dragon

Earth Dragon by Colorsmith

It is not very often that you see fantasy artists doing fantastic tees like this. Rob Carlos aka Colorsmith makes full use of modern printing techniques to make his amazing art work on a shirt. Usually you would only see something of this calibre on a glossy poster. I really like the slightly surreal approach of the dragon encircling the Earth. It is almost as if the creature is protective of its home.
