Legends Never Die

Legends Never Die from Empryse

I am not sure if this relates to a video game or something like that. I like to think that this is a knight on the crusades. Becoming a zombie would really make an interesting juxtaposition against the holiness of his mission.

Delicious Pops

Delicious Pops from Denada

The torture of constantly being bombarded with images of happy people eating things (by insidious advertising agencies) has made me fall instantly in love with this tee. Turning the tables and showing a happy ice cream eating people illustrates the absurdity of the ads we see everywhere.

Make a Wish

Make a Wish by d.b

Unfortunately this is very close to being added to the denial files as there are very few of them left. Not hard to see why as the illustration artwork is stunningly good.

UPDATE - was just surfing and found this design on another site called DVNT.

The Visitor

The Visitor by Alice X. Zhang and Melanie Herring

Something really different today in the form of a cosmic fish thingy. I love the flowing design that leads your eyes down from the top to reveal the person that the fish is looking at. The creature seems to be made of pure energy and also to be revealing the secrets of the universe. The water ripples surrounding the small, insignificant human are a nice juxtaposition and help cement the piece. This is a really well thought out artwork that would look as good hanging on a wall as it would decorating your chest.

Spirit Of White Samurai

Spirit Of White Samurai by fourscore

Evey so often you come across something that just shouldn't work yet do. If someone had told me about a tee that featured a polar bear samurai I would have scoffed. At best my mind would have conjured up a very cartoonish image. That is a far cry from the pure awesomeness of this tee. The artwork is so incredibly believable that this could easily be a poster for the latest CGI Hollywood blockbuster. I love it.

Beetle Playing Violin

Beetle Playing Violin from Dark Cycle

There is something oddly appealing about this tee aside from the obvious silliness and surreal aspect, I just can't put my finger on what it is.

From the website:
The Rhinoceros Beetle tends to have a short lifespan of around 1.5 years. This one is making every single day count and spends his days fiddling in a woodland band.

Crouching Panther

Crouching Panther from DEATH, SHRED!

It is so cool to see this style of illustration used for something other than human based characters for a change. The panther looks totally ferocious and has a great sense of movement across the tee. The red circle behind it is an inspired choice. It gives a nice frame for the panther to step out of, shows a bit of landscape and subliminally makes you think of darkness as it is moon shaped.

Drag Me To Hell

Drag Me To Hell from The Horror Project

I love horror comic style tees and I just came across and awesome site to get them - The Horror Project. This shirt is a great example of the genre. A sexy woman being pulled down to hell by undead zombies, their arms all over her. The blue color scheme tells you it is at night when all the scary stuff happens and the expression on her face is just perfect.

Bali Demon

Bali Demon by Pale Horse

I just love the work of Chris Parks aka Pale Horse. He has a really unique illustration style. It is amazingly detailed and meticulous, yet always imbued with incredible color. He has created artworks for companies like Hasbro, Sanrio, Iron Fist, DC Comics, Bernstein & Andriulli, Dean Guitars, Computer Arts, Wired Magazine and many others. It is unusual for someone of such standing to have a tshirt line yet I am so glad that he does.

Monster In The Closet

Monster in the Closet by Efrem Palacios

There is a big blue monster in the closet and he is going to eat you. Um, well he will if you are a baked tasty treat. The Cookie Monster is real and lurks in closets, attacking little biscuits that don't know how to protect themselves by hiding under the blankets.

Spirit Dreams

Spirit Dreams from Qetza

There are a lot of tees out there with Native American inspired imagery yet this one really stands out from the pack. The incredible amount of detail in the artwork is just staggering, inviting you closer to take another look. You will keep seeing more things you missed. I think the use of blue ink is inspired. It looks like one of those incredible biro illustrations you see occasionally on the net and I really like that. It would be like walking around with a masterpiece on your chest.

Poseidon

Poseidon from Protest The Hero

The Greek God of the sea has never looked this good. The illustration work is just amazing. In fact I was so blown away I went surfing the net to find out more about it. This is the work of the legendary Dan Mumford, a name well known to those in the t shirt world. I don't know how I hadn't come across this one before but I am certainly glad I found it. I actually found a larger picture where you could see the details better but now I can't find it again, sorry.

Blue Horde

Blue Horde from 604Republic

The zombie apocalypse has reached the Smurf village and is wreaking havoc. Only two are left unaffected. Luckily Smurfette is one of them so if they survive they can repopulate. I am not sure who the other one is but I am hoping it is Brawny so he can kick some zombie ass.

Earth Dragon

Earth Dragon by Colorsmith

It is not very often that you see fantasy artists doing fantastic tees like this. Rob Carlos aka Colorsmith makes full use of modern printing techniques to make his amazing art work on a shirt. Usually you would only see something of this calibre on a glossy poster. I really like the slightly surreal approach of the dragon encircling the Earth. It is almost as if the creature is protective of its home.

Sasquatch Frenzy

Sasquatch Frenzy! by Mr-Nicolo

With its almost fluoro colors this tee attacks your retinas and smacks you upside the head. I love it. Taking an old worn out idea and breathing a freshness into it is something that is attempted often yet rarely done well. This sasquatch looks so amazingly ferocious that I certainly wouldn't want to met one of these guys. The use of bold colors on a blue shirt makes sure this one stands out from the crowd and that you will not forget it in a hurry.
