The whole American flag and eagle thing has been done to death so many times that it is really surprising to see a fresh take on it. The artwork is like a cartoony tattoo and really jumps out at you on first glance. The whole thing takes on a different aspect on closer inspection. The eagle is holding a smoking joint, has a stoned expression while the smoke coming from his mouth spells the brand name.

I love tees that tell a story and this quirky shirt certainly does that. This poor bigfoot has been afflicted with small feet. The poor fellow looks quite dejected about it. This is not helped at all by the bug siting on his head holding a sign that reads "You know what they say about small feet?". I like to think of it as an advantage as humankind's trackers will never find him. Now you know why sightings are so rare. Apparently there is a story under the label so you can find out the real story. I want to buy one just to find that out.

I am not sure if this tee is a comment on Americas consumerism, a dig at one of the conspiracy theories involving Walt Disney or something else altogether. To be honest I just don't care. This shirt caught my attention and made me smile. That is good enough for me.

The thing I really like about this cartoon is the face, or rather lack of it. Usually it is the characters facial expression that gives the greatest meaning to the artwork. By removing the face entirely the focus really becomes the action. The only thing that I would have liked to see here is a shadow on the ground showing how high he is, but it certainly is not a deal breaker.

At this point I have to apologise because I just couldn't bring myself to show a pastel, flowery piece of claptrap. Stay with me though because this tee comes in two styles. I say old bean, my best friend took a trip to the moon and all I got was this brilliant t shirt. (You know it is brilliant because it has a mustache). I have seen a lot of steampunk designs but the cartoon angle used here is really refreshing. It makes it a lot more accessible to the masses, most of whom have no idea what steampunk is or even that it exists. Win.

I can't believe I have done so many posts on this blog without a single fart joke. That problem has now been solved. Unfortunately I have created another problem though. You can't own this tee. That's right this is another one for the denial files. It was up for voting at Threadless but didn't get through. Hopefully it will get submitted and printed at another company. Until then you can just look and dream.

At the sight of a carebear impaled on a super cute unicorns horn an AWESOME just seemed to explode from my lips.
